What is a digital PDF pattern, exactly?
It's a pattern you download instantly after checkout — no shipping, no waiting. You print it at home on regular paper, or take the file to a copy shop for a large-format print if the pattern supports it. Once you buy it, it's yours to print again any time.
What do I get right after I purchase?
An email with your download link, plus access to your files anytime through your Shopify account order history. If anything doesn't show up, just message us — digital delivery issues are rare but we fix them fast.
I've never sewn/embroidered before — will I be lost?
No. Every listing is tagged with a real skill level (true beginner, beginner, or intermediate), and beginner patterns are written to teach one or two specific skills without overwhelming you. If a listing doesn't say "beginner," it's not a beginner pattern — we're upfront about that so you're never guessing.
Can I print this at a copy shop instead of at home?
Yes, for patterns that say so in the listing. Check the "what's included" section on each product page for exact file formats.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is calculated based on your location and the items in your order. You will always know the shipping price before you purchase.

The Person Behind the Patterns
Hi, I'm the maker behind The Digital Pattern Desk. I'm a former teacher and a mom of four — I left a stable career because I wanted to actually be around for my kids, not just provide for them from a distance. Since then I've tried a long list of ways to build something of my own from home, and this shop is the one I'm building in public: real patterns, real photos, no filler.
Every pattern here is written the way I wish patterns were written when I was starting out — tested, clearly explained, and honest about what skill level it actually needs. If you're new to sewing or embroidery, you're not going to get thrown into the deep end here.
